House Rules & Important Information

Welcome to Annie’s Place

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Annie’s Place is a private family retreat, thoughtfully prepared for your comfort. We kindly ask that you observe the following guidelines to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in: From 3pm
Check-out: By 11am
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.

Guest Registration

  • The property may only be used by registered guests (5pax maximum)
  • Please inform us in advance if you expect any visitors

Smoking

  • This is a non-smoking property
  • Smoking is not permitted indoors or near entrances

Fire, Heating & Safety

  • Please use heating appliances (oil heaters) and kitchen equipment It is ok to leave the oil heaters on when you are out to keep the house warm, but do not leave any electrical appliances in the kitchen unattended. It is a small house, to avoid unintended tripping of the fuse, only use Microwave, Kettle and Electrical stoveseparately and not at the same time.
  • Do not leave any gas heaters or cooking unattended
  • Candles, fireworks, and open flames are notpermitted

Winter Care & Snow Country Etiquette

  • Snow and ice are common in winter months
  • Please remove snow from footwear before entering. Please leave footwear at the main door shoe area. In Japan, outdoor shoes are not worn indoors, please respect tradition.
  • Use designated areas for ski gear, boots, and wet clothing (in the garage and at the clothing hangers at the front).

Care of the Home

  • We ask that the home is kept clean and well cared for. Please follow the Garbage separation rules – Japan is very strict with regards to this  – Orange bags(General refuse including plastic wrappers, food containers, food scraps, bottle labels), Green bags (PET/Plastic bottles with labels removed), Green bags (Glass Bottles / Metal Cans).
  • Binshave been provided in the kitchen, spare bags under the sink. Once bags are full, please place them in the garage and it will be disposed of after you depart.
  • Please report any accidental damage or maintenance issues promptly

Noise & Respect for Neighbours

  • Located in a quiet residential area, as in many small towns, the population is elderly, have lots of fun, but please restrict the noise to indoors.
  • Please keep noise to a minimum between 9pm and 8am.
  • Parties and events are not permitted

 Pets

  • Pets not permitted

Parking

  • One complimentary on-site parking space is available
  • Please park only in the designated area in front of the garage entrance.

Security & Departure

  • Ensure doors and windows are locked when leaving the property
  • Please return keys to the designated location.
  • Follow check-out instructions provided prior to departure.
